Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rey Destroyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Ralcha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikko Ralcha will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rey Destroyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Ralcha!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Destroyer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Destroyer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Destroyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ralcha swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ralcha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Destroyer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Destroyer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Destroyer wants to control from the top but Ralcha keeps moving.
Destroyer won't allow Ralcha to sweep him here.
Destroyer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ralcha works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Destroyer working some strikes from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Destroyer landing with the ground and pound.

Ralcha keeping moving, preventing Destroyer from controlling successfully.

Ralcha manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Destroyer manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ralcha wanted to stand there but Destroyer had control of the position.
Destroyer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Destroyer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rey Destroyer.

Destroyer shoots in for a double leg but Ralcha sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Destroyer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ralcha stops a takedown attempt from Destroyer.

Destroyer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Destroyer is breathing heavily.
Ralcha connects with a nasty looking knee right to Destroyer's face.

and Ralcha counters with a nice double leg into side control. Destroyer won't be happy with that.

Destroyer is trying to improve his position.
Ralcha scores with a couple of short elbows.
Ralcha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Destroyer keeps working.
Destroyer manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ralcha throwing shots but Destroyer is blocking nicely.
Ralcha is trying to control. Destroyer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ralcha is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ralcha is pressing down on Destroyer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Destroyer is holding on for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mikko Ralcha will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Destroyer decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Ralcha breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Ralcha counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ralcha.
Destroyer is looking to stand up but Ralcha isn't so interested in that idea.
Rey Destroyer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ralcha wants to get up but he can't break Destroyer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Destroyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ralcha trying to control the position from guard on top but Destroyer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Destroyer is looking to stand up but Ralcha isn't so interested in that idea.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Destroyer looks for a takedown but Ralcha sprawls well.
Rey Destroyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Destroyer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ralcha shoots in but Destroyer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Destroyer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ralcha sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Destroyer somewhat.

Ralcha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Destroyer has a takedown stuffed.

Destroyer gets tackled into the cage by Ralcha. Ralcha maintains the clinch.

Ralcha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ralcha connects with an inside leg kick.
Destroyer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ralcha counters with a head kick.
Destroyer could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ralcha lands with a slapping head kick.

Ralcha instigates a clinch.
Destroyer tries to score a body lock takedown but Ralcha shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Destroyer tries to pull guard but Ralcha holds him up against the cage and eventually Destroyer drops back down to his feet.

Ralcha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Destroyer.

Ralcha instigates a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Ralcha obliges.
Ralcha lands a nice knee to the body.

Ralcha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rey Destroyer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ralcha connects with a high kick.
Ralcha lands a nice looking kick to the body. Destroyer takes a step back to recover.
Ralcha is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ralcha plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mikko Ralcha showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ralcha is looking to take a break and control but Destroyer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ralcha wants to stand but Destroyer is controlling his arm.
Destroyer is looking for a sweep.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ralcha has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Ralcha counters with a shoot takedown. Destroyer fights it but they end up in guard.

Ralcha wants to get back to his feet but Destroyer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Destroyer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Destroyer throws and elbow that misses. Ralcha uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Destroyer's guard. Nice move by Ralcha!

Destroyer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Destroyer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Destroyer tries to get out of the position.

Ralcha tries to close the distance and clinch up but Destroyer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mikko Ralcha is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Destroyer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ralcha counters with a head kick.
Ralcha scores with a head kick.

Ralcha instigates a clinch.

Ralcha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ralcha changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Destroyer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mikko Ralcha comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ralcha has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
