Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilbert da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Joe Blythe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). da Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Madeirada by No Styllo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Silva takes a kick to the side of the head.
da Silva has his takedown stuffed

and Blythe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
da Silva has Blythe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Blythe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Blythe manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Blythe gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from da Silva.

da Silva's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

da Silva wants to control but Blythe is having none of it.

Blythe has picked da Silva up - he's going for a ride! Blythe dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Blythe stands up and beckons da Silva to join him on the feet.

Blythe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with da Silva, pushing him back against the cage.

Blythe lands an elbow that stopped da Silva in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Wilbert da Silva has been cut.
Blythe is stalling here.

Blythe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
da Silva takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Blythe gets control of da Silva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blythe will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Blythe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in da Silva's guard.
da Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Blythe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Blythe fakes the leg kick and cracks da Silva in the body.
Blythe goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Blythe counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Blythe lands a nice elbow.
da Silva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Blythe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. da Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
da Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blythe controls the pace.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Blythe stands and steps away. da Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

da Silva is trying to drag Blythe to the mat but Blythe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Wilbert da Silva's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blythe seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Blythe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. da Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

da Silva has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Blythe to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! da Silva is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Blythe pulls down on the head and he's put da Silva to sleep! This one is all over!
