Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dr Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Payne misses with a takedown attempt

Barry throws a head kick that misses.
Barry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Dr Payne has been cut.
Payne fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Payne shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Payne avoids the head kick by Barry.
Barry connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Payne's hands.
Payne fails in his attempt to clinch.

Payne shoots for a takedown but Barry saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dr Payne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
