The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hierowato lunges at Tenryu with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tenryu's hand.

Tenryu is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Tenryu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hierowato circles away.
Tenryu throws a right hand that Hierowato ducks under and follows up with a left that Hierowato also avoids with ease.
Hierowato is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hierowato throws a series of punches but Tenryu avoids them all with ease.
Hierowato comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Tenryu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tenryu takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tenryu has eaten all the pies!

Tenryu drops his hands momentarily. Hierowato doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Tenryu staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Tenryu doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kamuto Hierowato!
