Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Noynoy Kidlat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hurricane Bowers!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidlat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kidlat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kidlat throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bowers's head.

Kidlat trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hurricane Bowers.
Kidlat scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bowers doesn't seem bothered though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Noynoy Kidlat will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kidlat plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bowers closes the distance and clinches up with Kidlat, looking for a takedown. Bowers pushes Kidlat against the cage but Kidlat circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bowers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kidlat as he avoids it easily.
Bowers takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kidlat.
A solid body kick from Kidlat.
Kidlat connects with a body shot that sends Bowers's belly button to the back.

and Bowers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Bowers seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kidlat does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bowers tries to bum rush Kidlat with a series of wild strikes but Kidlat uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Bowers counters with a big head kick but Kidlat shrugs it off.
Kidlat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bowers.
Kidlat throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kidlat throws a series of punches but Bowers avoids them all with ease.
Kidlat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kidlat ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bowers moves away.

Bowers stands and steps away. Kidlat gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Kidlat throws a head kick but Bowers moves out of range.
Kidlat goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Bowers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kidlat wants to get back to his feet.
Kidlat is looking for a sweep.
Bowers is chipping away with strikes.
Kidlat regains half guard there - taking advantage of Bowers's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Bowers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kidlat keeps working.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Noynoy Kidlat.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kidlat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
