Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Zodiac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastian Schweinsteiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schweinsteiger is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Son Kite - On Air. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zodiac tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schweinsteiger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zodiac somewhat.
Schweinsteiger shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Zodiac counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Zodiac misses with a head shot. Schweinsteiger uses the momentum to regain guard.
Zodiac throws a strike but Schweinsteiger rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zodiac wants to stand and escape but Schweinsteiger is having none of it.

Schweinsteiger has gone for a leg lock! Zodiac slips out almost immediately though and dives into Schweinsteiger's guard.

Zodiac drops back looking for a leg! Schweinsteiger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Schweinsteiger manages to kick Zodiac off! Zodiac jumps back into Schweinsteiger's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zodiac throws a big right hand that misses.
Schweinsteiger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zodiac is one step ahead there.
Zodiac working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Zodiac postures up in Schweinsteiger's guard and throws a big left but Schweinsteiger blocks it.
Schweinsteiger has control of Zodiac's left arm, preventing Zodiac from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Zodiac is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Schweinsteiger trying to keep a closed guard but Zodiac is proving a slippery customer.

Schweinsteiger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zodiac!

Schweinsteiger is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Zodiac is surviving well by controlling Schweinsteiger's body position as best he can.

Schweinsteiger looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Schweinsteiger has hold of Zodiac's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zodiac manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Schweinsteiger wants to control the pace but Zodiac is squirming around nicely.
Zodiac reaches up to try and control the position but Schweinsteiger seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Zodiac rolls and tries to escape and now Schweinsteiger has his back!

Zodiac is in a bad position with Schweinsteiger working for a choke. Zodiac manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Schweinsteiger manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Schweinsteiger seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Zodiac is holding on tight.
Zodiac is working to get back to half guard.

Schweinsteiger goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Zodiac turns into him and now he's in Schweinsteiger's guard.
Zodiac stands up over Schweinsteiger, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Jordan Zodiac will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Zodiac gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Schweinsteiger counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Schweinsteiger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zodiac doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schweinsteiger.
Zodiac is not content to let Schweinsteiger control the position.

Schweinsteiger looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Zodiac kicks Schweinsteiger off and gets back to his feet.

Schweinsteiger smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Zodiac decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Schweinsteiger's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zodiac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Zodiac drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Schweinsteiger dives on top into guard.

Zodiac has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Schweinsteiger off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Schweinsteiger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zodiac sprawls well initially but Schweinsteiger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Schweinsteiger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Zodiac is looking to improve his position.
Zodiac is in trouble now - Schweinsteiger has advanced to mount!

Schweinsteiger is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Zodiac has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Zodiac is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Schweinsteiger has taken his back!

Schweinsteiger is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Zodiac with him. Zodiac is trying to defend but Schweinsteiger has an arm under the chin now! Zodiac grimaces and is forced to tap out!
