The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferrari rushes Rich and presses him up against the cage.
Rich wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rich is looking to break free of the clinch but Ferrari has double underhooks.
Rich tries to stall but Ferrari uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rich is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Rich is pressed up against the cage. Ferrari has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rich down to the mat. Rich avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rich cracks a nice hook into Ferrari's ribs.
Benjamin Rich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ferrari with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rich to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Dominic Ferrari has been cut.

Rich lands with a good body shot.

Ferrari moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Rich ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferrari moves away.
Rich connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rich darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rich connects with a body shot that sends Ferrari's belly button to the back.

Ferrari's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rich connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ferrari scrambles back to his feet.
Ferrari shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rich as he jumps to the side.
Rich swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rich lands a nice looking body shot.
Rich is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rich lands a jab to the nose.
Rich fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ferrari looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rich works Ferrari's body with a nice hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rich. Ferrari does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rich throws a body punch but Ferrari moves out of range.

Rich lands a jab to Ferrari's midsection.
Rich swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rich scores with a decent looking hook.
A big left from Rich misses.

Ferrari shoots in and bounces Rich off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rich is trying to keep Ferrari in close.
Rich is looking to stand up but Ferrari isn't so interested in that idea.
Ferrari pushes down on Rich's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ferrari throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
