The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Starr.
Starr is looking to clinch but man is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Starr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
man looks for the body kick but Starr saw that one coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Starr. man does a little dance to reset his feet.
Starr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by man.

Good work by man as he checks the leg kick.
Starr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

man is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Starr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Starr shrugs it off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

man has control of Starr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Starr regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Starr darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Starr wants to break the clinch but can't.

man shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Starr is trying to defend but man finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Starr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

and man counters with a shoot takedown. Starr fights it but they end up in guard.

man stands up from Starr's guard - man perhaps looking for a knockout.

Starr shoots in for a double leg but man sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Starr walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. man checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

man throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Starr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. man is in Starr's guard.
Starr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
man makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
