Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Higastsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Lopes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pavel Lopes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pavel Lopes!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higastsui tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lopes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Higastsui somewhat.
Lopes fails with the takedown
and Higastsui counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Higastsui is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Lopes is trying to stand up here but Higastsui is controlling him well.
Lopes is not content to let Higastsui control the position.
Higastsui tries to pass to full mount but Lopes defends it.
Higastsui uses his free foot to push down on Lopes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lopes.
Higastsui working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lopes turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Higastsui off and cradles Lopes's limp body as Higastsui celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Sean Higastsui!
Sean Higastsui is the new light heavyweight champion!
