The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Rivers as The Tank Engine shoots in.
The Tank Engine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rivers tries to avoid it but The Tank Engine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rivers to the ground. Rivers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rivers scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A swing and a miss from Rivers.
Thomas The Tank Engine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Tank Engine looks for a takedown but Rivers sprawls well.
Alan Rivers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas The Tank Engine.
Rivers fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rivers lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens The Tank Engine up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Rivers from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw The Tank Engine's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
