The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Crowley!
Benitez blocks a head kick by Crowley.
Benitez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Benitez shoots for a takedown but Crowley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Crowley stuffs the takedown.
Crowley tries to clinch there but Benitez circles away.
Crowley looks to land a combination. Benitez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Crowley scores with a three punch combo!
Crowley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Crowley throws a series of punches but Benitez moves out of range.
Benitez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Benitez slips a jab and a cross from Crowley.
Crowley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A nice inside leg kick there by Benitez. That's going to slow Crowley down.
Benitez throws a head kick but Crowley moves out of range.
Crowley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Benitez fails with the takedown.
Sas Crowley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Benitez.
No luck for Benitez with that takedown attempt.
Benitez closes the distance and clinches up with Crowley, looking for a takedown. Benitez pushes Crowley against the cage but Crowley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Crowley throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Benitez's head.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Benitez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Crowley - the referee stops the clock and Benitez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Crowley. Benitez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
No luck for Benitez with that takedown attempt.
Benitez looks gassed!

Crowley darts in and clinches Benitez up against the cage.

Benitez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crowley pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Crowley is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Benitez can't fight it off and eventually Crowley manages to take the fight to the floor. Benitez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Benitez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Crowley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Benitez goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Crowley turns into him and now he's in Benitez's guard.

Benitez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crowley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Crowley is sitting in close to Benitez's body. Benitez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Crowley is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Crowley is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Benitez.
