Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Loco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Loco will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, El Loco!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peterson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Loco is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Loco won't allow Peterson to sweep him here.
Peterson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Loco!
Peterson prevents Loco from getting the reversal.

Peterson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Loco is now in Peterson's guard. A big mistake from Peterson there, giving up the dominant position!
Peterson wants to sweep here but Loco controlling him for the moment.
Loco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Peterson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Peterson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Loco is aware though and is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Loco forces his way into half guard.

Loco wants to work for an arm triangle but Peterson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Loco thows a huge punch but Peterson dodges it nicely.

Loco is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Peterson has managed to free his arm - good work.
Loco wants to pass to mount but Peterson is defending the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Loco is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Loco lands a nice short elbow.
Peterson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Peterson.

Peterson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Peterson is breathing heavily.

Loco thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peterson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Loco's guard.
Loco keeping moving, preventing Peterson from controlling successfully.
Peterson is pushing down on Loco's leg trying to pass to half guard. Loco is fighting to maintain full guard but Peterson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Peterson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Loco does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Loco is trying to get back to full guard.
Loco is not content to let Peterson control the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Loco gets back to full guard.
Peterson passes Loco's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Peterson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Loco is just riding it out for now. Peterson eventually gives up the hold.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Peterson is trying to control. Loco wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Peterson passes to full mount!

Peterson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Loco has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robbie Peterson dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Loco shoots for a takedown but Peterson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Peterson stuffs the takedown attempt from Loco. Loco gets slowly back to his feet.
Peterson leaves Loco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Robbie Peterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of El Loco.

Peterson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Peterson trying to control the action but Loco is working from the bottom.

Peterson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Loco knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Peterson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Loco is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Robbie Peterson!
