PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gary Sandusky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandusky kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ice Ice Baby. Richard Cullen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Sandusky!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Cullen!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cullen throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Sandusky counters with a shoot takedown. Cullen fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sandusky trying to control the position from guard on top but Cullen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sandusky has gone for a leg lock! Cullen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sandusky's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sandusky drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cullen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sandusky has Cullen in his guard.

Sandusky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cullen's guard.

Sandusky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Gary Sandusky will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gary Sandusky.
