Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Baxter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Johnson does no damage.
Johnson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Baxter connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Johnson scrambles back to his feet.
Baxter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Johnson eats them both and turns towards Baxter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Baxter lands a jab-cross combination.

Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Baxter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Baxter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Johnson prevents it.
Baxter wants a takedown but no success here.

Johnson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Johnson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Baxter dives into side control.

Johnson bucks up and tries to throw Baxter off but instead Baxter has got his back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Johnson is trying to get back to his feet but Baxter has full control of the position and if anything, Johnson has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Baxter tries to score with some ground and pound. Johnson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Baxter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Baxter wants to take a breather but Johnson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Baxter.

Johnson wants to stand but Baxter is controlling the position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Baxter closes the distance and clinches.
Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Baxter walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Bob Baxter has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Johnson dives in and grabs Baxter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baxter pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out.
Bob Baxter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Johnson.

Baxter is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Johnson's half guard.
Baxter stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Baxter seems content to control.
Baxter is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now.
Baxter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Baxter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bob Baxter wasn't doing enough on the ground.
