Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cara Amassada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cali Gs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gs misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Amassada.
Gs dives in and grabs Amassada's left leg, looking for a takedown. Amassada pushes down on Gs's head and hops out.
Gs gets the takedown into side control.
Gs stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Amassada works the jab nicely.
Amassada misses with a few strikes there.
Gs has closed the distance and engaged Amassada in a clinch.
Gs connects with a knee to the head.
Gs lands an elbow inside that Amassada shrugs off.

Gs keeps control of Amassada as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Amassada tries to break free but Gs pushes him back against the cage.

Amassada wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gs has him pressed against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Amassada works Gs's body with a nice hook.
Amassada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gs swivels and escapes.
Amassada shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gs as he jumps to the side.
Amassada tries to sprawl but Gs drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Amassada is in trouble now - Gs has advanced to mount!

Amassada squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Gs throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Gs trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Gs looking for a guillotine from mount but Amassada is having none of it.
Gs jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Amassada is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Amassada and Gs has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Amassada wants to control but Gs postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gs has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Nice sprawl there from Gs as Amassada shoots in.
Amassada tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Amassada somewhat.
Gs closes the distance and clinches up with Amassada, looking for a takedown. Gs pushes Amassada against the cage but Amassada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gs shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Amassada is trying to defend but Gs finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Gs escapes and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cali Gs will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amassada sprawls well. Amassada wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gs gets slowly back to his feet.

and Gs counters by moving into the clinch.

Amassada tries to land a knee to the head but Gs blocks with his arms.
Gs breaks from the clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Amassada.
Amassada misses with a wild combination.
Amassada wants to clinch but Gs slips to the side
and Gs counters with a shoot takedown. Amassada fights it but they end up in guard.
Amassada is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gs trying to control but Amassada is working from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amassada swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Cali Gs.
Amassada shoots in for a takedown but Gs shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Amassada throws a head kick that misses.
Gs takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Amassada's guard.
Amassada doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Gs trying to control but Amassada is working from the bottom.
Amassada is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gs stands and steps away. Amassada gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Gs pushes Amassada up against the cage in a clinch.
Gs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Amassada tries to clinch up but Gs circles away and keeps his distance.
Amassada lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Amassada.
Gs shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Amassada manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gs passes Amassada's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Amassada has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gs is working away from the top position though.

Cali Gs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
