Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Kemp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Motta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Kemp!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Motta!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kemp tries to avoid it but Motta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kemp to the ground. Kemp escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Donk. Motta catches Kemp right on the button with a cross.
Motta lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kemp at a distance.
Kemp throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kemp swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Motta counters with a straight right hand.
Motta throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kemp is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Motta.
Kemp misses with a hook
and Motta counters with a nice body shot.
Motta lands a jab to the head.
Kemp cracks Motta with a good jab.
Motta takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kemp enables Motta to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kemp manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kemp wants to get back to his feet but Motta is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Motta slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Motta wants to control from the top but Kemp keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Motta is looking to score with low kicks.
Motta scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kemp doesn't seem bothered though.
Kemp dodges the punch combination from Motta.
Motta moves out of range of the strikes.
Kemp misses with a jab to the body
and Motta counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Motta bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Motta avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kemp ducks under a wild hook from Motta.

Kemp connects with a nice looking jab.
Motta scores with a jab to the body.
Motta lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kemp backs up against the cage.
Kemp throws a lazy uppercut
and Motta cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kemp misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Motta.
Motta looks to throw the jab but Kemp is out of range.
Kemp walks into a stiff left hand from Motta.
Motta scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kemp misses the shot to the body.
Motta throws a right hand that misses
and Kemp counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Motta has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Motta there as he acknowledges the shot.
Motta ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Motta lands a head shot.
Kemp leaves Motta with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Motta lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kemp throws a combination. Motta tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kemp misses with a looping left.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

letting Motta counter with a right hand.
A swing and a miss from Motta.
Kemp takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nice cross by Kemp.
Kemp moves into range and connects with a jab.


Motta is rocked!
Motta scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Motta slips under a jab from Kemp.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Motta is defended easily by Kemp.
Adam Kemp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Motta.
Kemp swings away with a body shot that misses
and Motta counters with a stiff right hand.
Kemp is pawing at Motta, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Motta's nose. Motta is badly hurt! Kemp pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Motta tries desperately to hold on but Kemp is relentless in his assault! As Motta receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Kemp away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Kemp!
