The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sipat drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sipat is looking to take a break and control but Gigurda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gigurda tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Sipat is trying to get an arm triangle but Gigurda is defending well.
Gigurda tries to buck Sipat off but Sipat is having none of it.
Sipat working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Sipat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sipat is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gigurda has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gigurda takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Sipat tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Gigurda is trying to control Sipat's posture but Sipat avoids it.

Sipat has hold of Gigurda's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gigurda seems comfortable defending it but Sipat has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gigurda is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gigurda is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sipat couldn't care less - he's delighted!
