The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson dives in and grabs ECKER's left leg, looking for a takedown. ECKER pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.

Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. ECKER did well to prevent Jackson getting side control.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, ECKER has managed to free his arm - good work.
ECKER blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jackson.
ECKER is trying to stand back up but Jackson is controlling him
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but ECKER is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jackson is pressing down on ECKER's thigh, looking to free his foot. ECKER is holding on for now.
Jackson stops ECKER from getting back to his feet.
ECKER on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if ECKER tries to get out of the position.
ECKER is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard.

Lucious Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Jackson tries to keep at a distance but ECKER has taken the fight into the clinch.

ECKER controlling the action here for a moment.

Jackson drags the fight down to the ground.

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. ECKER is aware though and is defending well.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but ECKER pushes his legs off easily.
ECKER controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
ECKER wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
ECKER would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jackson has his foot on ECKER's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. ECKER works his way back into a safe position though.

ECKER is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jackson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. ECKER is looking to defend but Jackson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for ECKER! Jackson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, ECKER taps out and this one is all over!
