Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Silver Surfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charalabos Koukodimos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koukodimos has chosen Astarte - Mutter Astarte as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koukodimos slips a jab and a cross from Surfer.
Koukodimos scores with a shot to the body.
Surfer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Koukodimos circles away quickly and effectively.
Horrible takedown by Koukodimos or perhaps it was just good defense by Surfer which made him look bad.
Koukodimos moves into range and clinches up with Surfer.
Koukodimos scores with a shoulder strike.
Koukodimos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Koukodimos attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Koukodimos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Surfer defends it nicely.
Surfer misses with a low kick.
Surfer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silver Surfer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Surfer. Those never looked like landing.
Surfer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Koukodimos.
Silver Surfer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charalabos Koukodimos.
Koukodimos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Koukodimos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Surfer lands a left and a right that send Koukodimos crashing to the mat, dazed. Surfer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Koukodimos is rocked!
It looks like Charalabos Koukodimos has been cut.

No joy there for Surfer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Both fighters circling a little - Surfer finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Koukodimos counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Surfer wants to get back to his feet.
Surfer is refusing to be controlled, as Koukodimos sits in half guard.
Surfer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Koukodimos.
Surfer is looking to improve his position.
Surfer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Koukodimos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Koukodimos's back!
Surfer scores with strikes from the back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koukodimos covers up after that shot from Surfer.

Surfer looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Koukodimos finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.
Surfer trying to control but Koukodimos is having none of it.
Surfer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koukodimos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Surfer gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Surfer misses with a series of wild punches.
Surfer lands a left and a right that send Koukodimos crashing to the mat, dazed. Surfer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Surfer shoots in looking for a takedown. Koukodimos tries to sprawl out of it but Surfer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koukodimos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A punch combination from Surfer misses.
Koukodimos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Koukodimos showed some decent athleticism there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Surfer is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Koukodimos lands a nice short elbow.
Koukodimos working Surfer over with strikes.
Surfer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Koukodimos.
Surfer tries to roll over but Koukodimos keeps him under control.
Koukodimos is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Surfer looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Surfer regains full guard. Nicely done.
Surfer throws a couple of heel strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silver Surfer dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Charalabos Koukodimos's cut.
That's time! Surfer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Koukodimos tries to clinch but Surfer is having none of it.
Koukodimos has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Koukodimos there as he acknowledges the shot.
Koukodimos shoots in but Surfer avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Koukodimos is still on wobbly legs! Can Surfer finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Surfer knocks Koukodimos out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
