The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guevara misses with a double jab

and Pacquiao counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Guevara is looking to escape.
Guevara is looking to improve his position.
Still in half guard, Pacquiao seems content to control.
Pacquiao seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Guevara for as long as he can get away with.
Guevara is looking for a sweep. Pacquiao is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Manny Pacquiao just wasn't active enough.
Pacquiao throws a right and a left that Guevara avoids nicely.

Pacquiao gets the takedown into side control.
Pacquiao lands a decent elbow from side control.
Pacquiao is staying tight to Guevara's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Guevara wants to control but Pacquiao postures up.
Pacquiao moves into full mount!
Pacquiao takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Guevara looks gassed!
Pacquiao lands a heavy elbow.
Pacquiao sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pacquiao's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Pacquiao throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Guevara has his hands clasped together but Pacquiao breaks the hold and Guevara is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Pacquiao!
