The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paakku fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Johnson checks it well.
Johnson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Johnson tries to clinch but Paakku is having none of it.
Paakku throws a leg kick but Johnson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paakku swivels and escapes.

Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Paakku is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Johnson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Paakku has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
