Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Helio Graicie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Kalashnikov!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graicie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kalashnikov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kalashnikov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kalashnikov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Graicie circles away quickly and effectively.

Helio Graicie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kalashnikov, as that shot connected.
Graicie shoots for a double leg takedown but Kalashnikov sprawls well. He's pushed Graicie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Graicie drops back looking for a leg! Kalashnikov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kalashnikov manages to kick Graicie off! Graicie jumps back into Kalashnikov's guard.
Graicie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kalashnikov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Graicie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Graicie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Graicie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Graicie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kalashnikov sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Helio Graicie will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kalashnikov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Graicie eats them both and turns towards Kalashnikov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Kalashnikov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oh Graicie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kalashnikov drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Graicie's head, knocking him out cold! Kalashnikov is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
