Dean stalls.
Mashinata has Dean pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mashinata pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dean tumbling to the mat - Mashinata dives into Dean's guard.
Dean looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mashinata passes into side control.
Mashinata working the ground and pound but Dean is defending the strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mashinata throws a strike aimed at the side of Dean's head but Dean avoids it well.
Mashinata trying to control the action but Dean is working from the bottom.
Dean gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Mashinata lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dean hang on?
