Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Hinkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hinkley kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit. Cameron Hinkley has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Cameron Hinkley has been cut.
Hinkley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Hinkley didn't expect that.
Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Hinkley is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robbie Jackson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hinkley won't be happy with that.

Hinkley is not content to let Jackson control the position.
Hinkley is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Jackson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hinkley circles away quickly and effectively.

I wouldn't like to be where Hinkley is right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice sprawl there from Hinkley as Jackson shoots in.

Hinkley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hinkley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Hinkley eventually gives up the hold.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
Jackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hinkley is working away from the top position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robbie Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hinkley has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jackson throws a right hand that Hinkley ducks under and follows up with a left that Hinkley also avoids with ease.

and Jackson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hinkley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hinkley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Hinkley's legs - danger averted.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Hinkley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackson is trying to get an arm triangle but Hinkley is defending well.
Hinkley pushes Jackson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jackson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hinkley!
Cameron Hinkley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Robbie Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jackson wants to control the pace but Hinkley is squirming around nicely.

Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
