Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jex Midnight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Snow Man!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Midnight avoids the head kick by Man.
Midnight lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Midnight lands a body shot.
Midnight catches Man with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Man has his takedown stuffed
enabling Midnight to counter with a crisp jab.
Man throws a sloppy head kick and Midnight moves out of range easily.
Snow Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Midnight cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Man takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Man misses with a low kick as Midnight jumps back.
Man misses with a head kick.
Man looks gassed!
Man with a poor takedown
and Midnight connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jex Midnight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Snow Man.
Midnight feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Man gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Midnight counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Man thinking.
Man takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Midnight is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Midnight, as that shot connected.

Midnight scores with a takedown into Man's guard.
Midnight stands and throws Man's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Midnight tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Midnight has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Midnight will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Midnight advances to mount.
Midnight trying to control but Man is having none of it.
Midnight looking to finish with strikes here!
Man keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Midnight works his foot free and advances to mount.
Midnight works his way to his opponent's back.
Midnight missing with strikes from the back.
You can see the frustration on Man's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Man defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Midnight thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Midnight keeps control of the position as Man tries to break free.

Midnight is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Man manages to reverse the position and now he's in Midnight's guard. Nice work there by Man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Midnight lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Man!

Midnight is working for a guillotine from mount but Man frees his head quite easily.
Man keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Midnight is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Man is surviving well by controlling Midnight's body position as best he can.
Man can't escape the position.

Midnight has hold of Man's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Man manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Midnight throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Man has his hands clasped together but Midnight breaks the hold and Man is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Midnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jex Midnight!
