Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ricardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Nash!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ricardo gets a takedown into half guard.
Nash wants to get back to his feet.
Ricardo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nash is trying to stand.
Ricardo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ricardo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ricardo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nash defending well though.
Ricardo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nash keeps working.
Ricardo prevents Nash from standing back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nash is looking to clinch but Ricardo is avoiding it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ricardo.
Ricardo punishes Nash's body with a nice straight punch.
A head kick misses from Nash.
Nash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ricardo lands with an overhand left.

Ricardo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ricardo throws a nice inside leg kick.

Ricardo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nash's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ricardo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Ricardo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nash keeps working.
Nash is letting Ricardo control him for a moment.
Ricardo looks up at the clock and then as Nash takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ricardo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ricardo scores with a couple of short elbows.
Nash is trying to buck Ricardo off.
Nash looks gassed!
Ricardo creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Ricardo scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nash to see if he's OK.
Ricardo in side control lands a decent elbow.
Nash wants to get back to his feet but Ricardo drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ricardo trying to control the position but Nash is working away.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ricardo works over Nash's head and body with a nice combination.
A right-left combo lands from Ricardo.
Nash misses with a right hand

and Ricardo counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ricardo scores with a couple of short elbows.
Ricardo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nash down.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ricardo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nash keeps working.

Nash wants to get back to his feet but Ricardo drags him back down.

Nash takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Nash trying to remain calm as Ricardo controls from the top position.
Ricardo lands a nice forearm strike.
Ricardo is looking to take a break and control but Nash is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nash is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ricardo is controlling him well.
Nash is trying to escape the position but Ricardo is controlling the position.
Nash is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ricardo has just dragged him back down to the mat.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
A head kick misses from Nash.
Nash misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nash throws a head kick but Ricardo moves out of range.
Ricardo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nash.
Nash throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Ricardo crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ricky Nash!
