The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Graf closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Graf lands in his opponent's guard.

Maia kicks Graf off and gets to his feet.
Maia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Graf.
Graf looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maia is fending him off so far but Graf persists. Nope, Maia circles away and we're back to standing.
Graf shoots in for a takedown but Maia shows good takedown defense.
Graf misses with a takedown attempt
and Maia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artem Graf. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maia scores with a jab. Graf acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Graf has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Graf there as he acknowledges the shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Graf counters with a nice uppercut.
Maia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Graf manages to avoid it.

Graf looks up at the clock. Bad move! Maia lands a right hand from hell, dropping Graf. Maia pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
