The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy throws a looping overhand right but Jefferson ducks down to avoid it.
Jefferson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hardy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jefferson slips a jab from Hardy.
Jefferson walks into a left hand.
Hardy misses with a looping right.
Hardy throws a jab but it's blocked by Jefferson.
Jefferson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jefferson stuns Hardy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hardy throws a right hand that Jefferson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jefferson also avoids with ease.
Hardy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Abe Jefferson has been cut.
A left lands for Jefferson.
It looks like Daniel Hardy has been cut.
Jefferson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hardy back to the cage. Jefferson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jefferson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hardy sprawls well. Hardy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jefferson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abe Jefferson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hardy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Hardy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Hardy scores with a sloppy right hand. Jefferson should have avoided that one.

Hardy thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hardy looks to land a left hand but Jefferson moved out of range nicely.
Hardy clobbers Jefferson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jefferson shoots in looking for a takedown. Hardy tries to sprawl out of it but Jefferson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hardy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jefferson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jefferson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jefferson dodges the punch combination from Hardy.
Hardy misses with a right hand
and Jefferson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hardy wants to get back to his feet.

Jefferson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hardy defend it? Jefferson steps over the head and cranks it - Hardy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jefferson!
