The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kone ducks under a wild hook from Drake.
Kone gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Drake counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kone's knee momentarily.
Kone shoots in looking for a takedown but Drake manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Drake counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Drake pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kone back to the cage. Drake follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Drake lands a nice shot that snaps Kone's head back.
Drake throws a leg kick which misses Kone's front leg but catches the back leg as Kone tries to avoid it.
Kone takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Drake lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kone circles away quickly and effectively.

and Kone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Drake won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kone's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Drake connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kone scrambles back to his feet.

Drake tries to bum rush Kone with a series of wild strikes but Kone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kone takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Drake throws a leg kick but Kone sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Kone tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Drake's corner calls for a 1-2. Drake obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
