Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pate Perhana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Gattuso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gattuso is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by DMX - X Gonna Give It To Ya. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pate Perhana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Javier Gattuso!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perhana avoids the body shot from Gattuso.
Gattuso tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Perhana was well out of range. Poor timing from Gattuso.
Gattuso comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gattuso shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Perhana counters with a stiff right hand.
Gattuso closes the distance looking to clinch
and Perhana connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
No luck for Perhana with that takedown attempt.

Perhana wants to control but Gattuso is keeping him busy.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Gattuso pushes Perhana away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Perhana gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Perhana remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gattuso is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Perhana defends well.
Gattuso bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perhana's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gattuso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perhana has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gattuso has managed to get both his arms back between Perhana's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Perhana is trying to control the action in half guard but Gattuso is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Perhana seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gattuso for as long as he can get away with.
