Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anupo Anubis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anupo Anubis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Anupo Anubis has been cut.
Anubis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shamrock but Shamrock pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shamrock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shamrock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Anubis.

Anubis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shamrock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Anubis throws a strike aimed at the side of Shamrock's head but Shamrock avoids it well.
Shamrock is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Anubis has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Shamrock is not content to let Anubis control the position.
Anubis passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Shamrock!

Anubis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shamrock is looking to escape.

Anubis is working for a guillotine from mount but Shamrock frees his head quite easily.
Anubis misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You get the feeling that Shamrock really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Shamrock wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Anubis.

Anubis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Shamrock because Anubis loaded up on that one.

Anubis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anubis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Shamrock lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anubis backs up against the cage.
Anubis is looking to clinch but Shamrock is avoiding it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anubis is defended easily by Shamrock.

Anubis is looking to slow Shamrock down with leg kicks.
Anubis throws a sloppy head kick and Shamrock moves out of range easily.

Shamrock catches Anubis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Shamrock missing with a left hand there. Anubis was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Shamrock throws a hook but Anubis avoids it easily.
Shamrock misses with a two punch combination.
Shamrock stuffs the takedown.
Anubis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shamrock scores with a jab. Anubis acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Shamrock displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anubis.
Shamrock stalks Anubis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Anubis's face. Anubis staggers backwards, shaken.
A left and a right from Shamrock both land. Nice combination.
Anubis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shamrock connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Anubis scrambles back to his feet.
Shamrock throws a series of punches but Anubis moves out of range.

Anubis shoots in and bounces Shamrock off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Anubis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Anubis lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Anubis stands and throws Shamrock's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Anubis is looking to take a break and control but Shamrock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shamrock parries the strikes from Anubis easily there. Anubis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Shamrock to escape.

Anubis tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee asks Anubis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Anubis prefers to stall for the moment though.

Ken Shamrock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Anubis dives in and grabs Shamrock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shamrock pushes down on Anubis's head and hops out.
Anubis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shamrock avoids it really well and circles away.

Shamrock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Shamrock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Shamrock is working an open guard so Anubis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Anubis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shamrock as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anupo Anubis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shamrock tries to keep at a distance but Anubis has taken the fight into the clinch.
Anubis wants a takedown but no success here.

Anubis pulls guard effortlessly.

Anubis pushes Shamrock off and scrambles back to his feet.

Anubis has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Shamrock doesn't defend quickly enough and Anubis has managed to lock this one up! Can Shamrock escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Anubis on a fantastic submission victory.
