Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evil Raven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Raven there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Raven chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Evil Raven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Raven looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Riley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Riley lands a few punches from side control.
Riley is looking to take a break and control but Raven is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Riley can do anything to dispel that myth.

Raven is trying to improve his position.

Riley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Raven has escaped the position, nice work there.
Riley is chipping away with strikes.
Raven takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Raven is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Raven is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Riley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Raven is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Raven really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Raven takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Raven looks gassed!

Riley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Riley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Riley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Riley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raven is fending him off so far but Riley persists. Nope, Raven circles away and we're back to standing.
Raven lands a nice looking kick to the body. Riley takes a step back to recover.

Raven has taken the fight to the clinch.

Riley has Raven pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Raven manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Riley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Raven, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Riley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Raven as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Raven stuffs the takedown attempt from Riley. Riley gets slowly back to his feet.
Raven tries to clinch but Riley moves out of range.

Riley clinches up against the cage.
Raven lands a knee to the head.
Raven should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Riley pulls Raven into guard.
Riley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Riley lands with a heel strike from the guard.

Raven has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Riley to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Raven is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Riley pulls down on the head and he's put Raven to sleep! This one is all over!
