Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Punchers Chance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chance kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mama said knock u out!. The crowd seem to be enjoying West's choice of entrance music: The All-American Rejects - It Ends Tonight . There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and West counters with a straight right hand.

West has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chance is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
West is looking for a sweep. Chance is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

West tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chance was well out of range. Poor timing from West.

West feints and as Chance raises his hands in defense, West changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
West postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

West is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chance sees it coming and defends easily.
West uses his free foot to push down on Chance's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chance.
West sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
West avoids the attempt from Chance to control.

Chance steps to the side to avoid the strikes from West.
Chance looks to land a combination but West avoids it well.
West is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

West throws an overhand right that lands on Chance's shoulder, as Chance tries to avoid the shot.
Chance gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Chance counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps West thinking.
West throws a leg kick which misses Chance's front leg but catches the back leg as Chance tries to avoid it.
West scores with the left hand. Chance knows he should have avoided that one.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chance with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling West to score with a decent uppercut.

A solid leg kick lands there for West.

West lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Chance counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
West bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chance's head backwards.
Chance takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

West closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chance to the mat! Chance manages to get full guard.
West is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
West throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chance works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
West lands a couple of decent looking shots.
West wants to control from the top but Chance keeps moving.
West has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chance controls West momentarily but West frees himself.

West lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Chance down.
Chance wants to get back to his feet but West drags him back down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
West is looking to take a break and control but Chance is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

West is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chance is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chance avoids any damage from the ground and pound of West.
Chance takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

West thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Chance tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The strikes coming from West are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
West staying calm.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chance pushes West away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, West gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

West tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no West has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well West has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
