The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey misses with a left hand
and Canal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Canal throws a big shot that misses.
Dempsey throws a hook but Canal avoids it easily.
Dempsey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Canal moves away.
Dempsey throws a jab when Canal was well out of range.
Canal uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dempsey.
Dempsey keeps the fight on the outside.
Dempsey defending well as Canal loads up on a big left hand.
Dempsey cracks a nice hook into Canal 's ribs.
Canal swinging wildly here.
Dempsey moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Canal . Dempsey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dempsey misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dempsey looks to score with a jab to the body but Canal is just out of range.
Dempsey lands an overhand right.
Dempsey lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Canal at a distance.
Canal tries to close the distance and clinch but Dempsey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Canal dodges the punch combination from Dempsey.

Canal slips under a jab from Dempsey.
Canal fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Canal throws the left hand but Dempsey avoids the punch easily.
Dempsey throws a right hand that Canal ducks under and follows up with a left that Canal also avoids with ease.
Dempsey fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dempsey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Canal takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Dempsey slips under a jab from Canal .
Dempsey lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dempsey throws a sloppy body shot
and Canal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dempsey throws a series of strikes that have Canal backpedaling.
Dempsey misses with an uppercut. Canal saw that one coming.
Dempsey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Canal doesn't manage to clinch there - Dempsey circles away.
Canal dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

OH! Canal has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Canal smells blood and charges in for the finish! Canal unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Canal sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
