Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marshal Brown!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cross scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cross wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy.

Cross is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brown knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Brown is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Cross still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Cross has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Nice combo by Brown! Oh, that's hurt him - Cross falls to the canvas and Brown follows him into side control.

Brown has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cross's face.
Cross tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away.
Brown lands a nice shot to the head.

Brown looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Brown connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Cross is squirming around, avoiding Brown's attempts to control the action.

Brown postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cross looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Brown is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Brown extends the arm and Cross is forced to tap!
