PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilder has chosen One Minute Silence - Brainspiller as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Max Wilder was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Nate Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Wilder!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilder drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.
Diaz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Diaz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wilder is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Diaz to the mat. Diaz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wilder defends it easily.
Wilder won't allow Diaz to get back to his feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wilder cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Wilder has control of Diaz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diaz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
