Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatu Tikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tikki is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ratatat - Loud Pipes. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tikki misses with a low kick.
Rutten with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Tikki throws a leg kick which misses Rutten's front leg but catches the back leg as Rutten tries to avoid it.
Rutten tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alistair Rutten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A punch lands to the side of Rutten 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Tikki counters with a nice uppercut.
Tikki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rutten's calf.
Good work by Rutten as he checks the leg kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Tikki checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Rutten wants to land a leg kick but Tikki is out of range.
Rutten fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tikki.
Rutten walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Tikki misses with an uppercut. Rutten saw that one coming.
Tikki displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rutten throws out the jab.

Tikki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rutten fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tikki.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rutten throws a low kick but Tikki moves out of range easily.

Tikki takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

and Tikki counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Tikki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Tikki misses with a wild body shot.
Tikki does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tikki lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Rutten swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tikki.
Rutten throws a chopping leg kick but Tikki manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Tikki lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Tikki bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Rutten tries to move into range but Tikki moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Rutten is looking to land body kicks.
Tikki scoring well with a low kick there.
Tikki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rutten stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tikki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rutten ducks right into an uppercut from Tikki.

Tikki looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rutten!

Tikki throws some wild stikes that Rutten manages to avoid easily.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tikki is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rutten to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rutten shrugs it off.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tikki throwing strikes here but Rutten is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tatu Tikki dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rutten chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tikki can pounce on him.

Rutten throws the left hand but Tikki avoids the punch easily.
Rutten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tikki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Good leg kick by Tikki there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tikki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tikki connects with a right hand. Rutten shakes it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Tikki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Tikki feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rutten sprawling to the canvas! Rutten rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tikki finish him?!

Rutten is rocked!
Rutten drops his hands momentarily. Tikki doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Rutten staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Rutten doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
