Kumiko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mendes's half guard.
Kumiko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mendes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kumiko.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kumiko's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Mendes is holding on here and Kumiko must be using up a lot of energy. Mendes has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kumiko gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
