Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kaiser Soze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson throws a solid leg kick but Soze takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Robertson.
Soze tries for a takedown but Robertson circles away easily
and Robertson counters with a nice leg kick.
Robertson throws a chopping leg kick but Soze manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Soze misses with a body punch
and Robertson counters with an outside leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Soze.
Kaiser Soze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Robertson.
Soze closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Robertson wants to improve his position but Soze is controlling well.
Soze landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Robertson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Robertson tries to get to full guard but Soze has control of the leg.

Robertson is trying to maintain the position but Soze is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Robertson has hold of Soze's hands but Soze slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Robertson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Soze scores with a couple of nice shots.
Soze lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Soze lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Soze looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Robertson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Soze passes the guard and advances to mount!

Robertson wants to control but Soze is having none of it.
Soze lands with some strikes.
Robertson is working to get back to half guard.
BOOM! Soze connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Robertson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Robertson is still in real trouble! Can Soze finish him?
Robertson wants to control but Soze is having none of it.
Soze breaks from Robertson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big strike lands for Soze! That's really hurt Robertson and he's turned his back - Soze keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Soze jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
