Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Race (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Jackson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Race!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Race pushes him off.
Jackson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Jackson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Race to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Race pushing down on Jackson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Race is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Race is looking to advance position but Jackson won't allow it.

Jackson kicks off Race and gets to his feet.
Race shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jackson counters with a one-two to the body.

Race looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Race lands a nice short elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Race seems to be working for a kimura but Jackson defends the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Race seems to be looking for submissions.
Jackson has hold of Race's hands but Race slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Race throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Race slips a nice elbow through Jackson's hands, connecting with Jackson's forehead.
Race looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Race has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Race is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jackson sees it coming and defends easily.

Race looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Race wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Race is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Race's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Race gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jackson counters with a three punch combo that has Race backing up. Race nods at Jackson to acknowledge the strikes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Race has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut.

Nice straight punches there by Jackson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jackson.
Jackson cracks a nice hook into Race's ribs.
Jackson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Race shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches.

and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Race's guard.
Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Race looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jackson passes into side control.

Jackson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Race on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Race changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Race misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't.

Jackson is pushing Race's head away, looking to escape. Race manages to hold on to the position though.
Jackson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
