PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santeri Reijasalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Richter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richter gets the takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Richter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Reijasalo's guard.

Reijasalo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Richter defends it easily.

Reijasalo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Richter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Richter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Richter drops back looking for a leg! Reijasalo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reijasalo manages to kick Richter off! Richter jumps back into Reijasalo's guard.

Richter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reijasalo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reijasalo wants to control the pace but Richter is squirming around nicely.

Reijasalo is landing with some decent strikes but Richter is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Reijasalo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The cut above John Richter's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

John Richter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Richter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
