Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor Mendel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendel has chosen Lambada as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gregor Mendel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mendel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ali tries to bum rush Mendel with a series of wild strikes but Mendel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mendel misses with a combination
and Ali cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gregor Mendel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mendel lands the left hand.
Nice straight punches there by Mendel. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mendel.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ali.
Ali tries for a takedown but Mendel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mendel misses with an uppercut
and Ali counters with a straight right hand.
Ali comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mendel takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nice sprawl there from Ali as Mendel shoots in.
Mendel shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ground and pound from Mendel.

Mendel escapes and gets back to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ali!
Mendel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mendel is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ali is trying to escape and Mendel transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ali is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mendel! Very nice indeed!
