The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slackson tries to clinch up
and Nutz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Nutz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Slackson is looking to regain half guard here but Nutz keeps moving and retains side control.
Nutz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Slackson can't do much from the bottom here.
Nutz is working Slackson over with some ground and pound from side control.

Slackson wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Nutz has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Slackson's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Slackson is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Nutz!
