The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nnep doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Nnep looks gassed!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nnep.

Blake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Blake postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nnep wants to sweep here but Blake controlling him for the moment.

Nnep is working an open guard so Blake takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Nnep is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Blake scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Blake fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nnep sprawls well initially but Blake persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Blake looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nnep with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Nnep wants to get back to full guard but Blake has mounted him!

Blake is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nnep can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Blake seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nnep for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
