Cane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Alice In Chains - Man In The Box. Mendel has chosen Lambada as his entrance music. Gregor Mendel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane looks to land a right hand but Mendel moved out of range.
Cane's corner calls for a 1-2. Cane obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Gregor Mendel has been cut.
Mendel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mendel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Quentin Cane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gregor Mendel.
Cane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mendel.

Mendel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mendel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cane lands a right hook to the body.

Mendel ducks straight into an uppercut from Cane and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Mendel manages to regain guard straight away.

Cane stands and steps away. Mendel gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Cane cracks Mendel with a hook to the temple - Mendel is on wobbly legs here! Cane swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Mendel falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Cane wins by TKO!
