Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Asmir Petkovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barnabeh Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Asmir Petkovic has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Asmir Petkovic seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Petkovic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Petkovic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Silva throws a series of punches but Petkovic avoids them all with ease.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Petkovic.
Petkovic takes one to the chin there.
Petkovic shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Petkovic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Petkovic misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Silva scores with a crisp jab that stopped Petkovic in his tracks.

Petkovic shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Petkovic's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Petkovic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Petkovic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Petkovic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Petkovic slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Petkovic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Petkovic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Silva is looking for a sweep.

Petkovic has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Silva is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Petkovic yanks on the arm and Silva is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Petkovic.
