Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Galileo Galilei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galilei comes to the cage accompanied by Les Os. Clayton has chosen I Want It All as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Clayton!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galilei shoots in for a takedown but Clayton shows good takedown defense.
Clayton misses with a lunging right hand

and Galilei counters with a single leg into guard. Clayton didn't expect that.
Galilei postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Clayton is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Clayton tries to throw a body punch but Galilei avoids it by throwing Clayton back against the cage.
The referee calls for Clayton to work.

The referee is keeping an eye on Clayton - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Clayton continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ethan Clayton.

Galileo Galilei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ethan Clayton was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Clayton counters with a nice body shot.

Galilei swats away the attempt to clinch by Clayton.

Clayton lands a leg kick that knocks Galilei off balance momentarily.

and Galilei counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Clayton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Galilei gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Galilei accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Clayton wants to sweep but no luck.
Clayton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Galilei is controlling him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Clayton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Galilei's guard.

It looks like Ethan Clayton has been cut.
