Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Bowhime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowhime comes into the arena with FFDP-Way Of The Fist blaring out of the sound system. Scott has chosen Jay Z - Empire State Of Mind as his entrance music. John Bowhime could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Michael Scott's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowhime bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Scott's head backwards.
Bowhime throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Scott misses with a head kick.
Scott fails with a takedown attempt.
Scott takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bowhime throws an off balance right hand
and Scott makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Bowhime really felt that one!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bowhime gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Scott.
A head kick misses from Scott.
Bowhime swings for the body but Scott moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Scott blocks the leg kick.
Scott keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

enabling Scott to counter with a crisp jab.

Bowhime throws a hook but Scott avoids it easily.
Scott works Bowhime's body with a nice hook.

and Scott counters with a head kick.
Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Scott counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Bowhime darts in trying to clinch
and Scott counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Bowhime looks to throw the jab but Scott is out of range.

Scott shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bowhime eats them both and turns towards Scott to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Scott misses with a wild combination.
Bowhime avoids the head kick by Scott.

Bowhime takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bowhime gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Scott counters with a stiff right hand.
Scott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bowhime.

Bowhime throws a lazy uppercut

and Scott decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bowhime's guard.
Bowhime is breathing heavily.

Scott pushes down on Bowhime's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Scott wants to take a breather but Bowhime is having none of it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bowhime manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Scott wants to pass the guard but Bowhime is keeping the position.

Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bowhime has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Bowhime's legs - danger averted.

Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bowhime swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Scott stays in close to Bowhime's body and controls the position.

Oh but Bowhime is tightening it up a little... Scott has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Scott reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Scott taps out! nice BJJ there by Bowhime!
