The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Gummie sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gummie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gummie lands a couple of digs.
Gummie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gummie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gummie is sitting in close to Silva's body. Silva has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Gummie is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Gummie is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Silva.
