Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jed Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Abbles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Abbles!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbles looks for a takedown but Kim sprawls well.
The fighters circling - Kim throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Jed Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abbles tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kim has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kim there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Abbles counters by moving into the clinch.
Kim is pushing Abbles up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Abbles has a couple of punches blocked by Kim.

Abbles is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kim escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kim swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Abbles counters by moving into the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Abbles tries to stall but Kim uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kim blocks the elbow strike.
Kim slowing the pace effectively.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jed Kim.

Abbles shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kim wants to sweep but Abbles has passed to side control!

Abbles controlling the position.
Kim tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Abbles prevents Kim from escaping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe Abbles comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Abbles has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
